The Lake CX219 Road Shoe offers race level features, fit and performance without sacrificing quality and durability. The CX219 features form-fitting and durable microfiber and mesh upper with a comfortable and secure BOA closure utilizing Carbitex tongue panels for reduced friction lace adjustment. A 100% carbon fiber sole that creates a comfortable, lightweight, and classy package. CX/TX Competition Last—With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures. Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole that creates a comfortable, lightweight and classy package. Available in 3 hole cleat pattern. Clarino Microfiber & mesh upper. Last - Featuring a slightly narrower toe box and a tighter heel, with a firmer grip than the Lake Competition last, and less overall volume than our Sport last. Designed for very high-cadence riding, with a slimmer and stylish performance fit. Outsole - Inclusive of Lake's 100% Carbon Fiber Sole for super stiffness and performance. Available in a 3-hole cleat pattern, the CX333 utilizes Lake’s patent double sole system. The inner sole is a semi-flexible fiberglass platform, that allows the foot to have ample flexibility at the ball of the foot where the swelling can be prominent, and typically hot spots or numbness would occur. The inner sole is then suspended over the outer rigid carbon sole. This unique system enables the use of an extremely stiff carbon outsole, without sacrificing riding comfort, giving you the ultimate balance of performance and endurance. Upper - The CX333 comes with a Clarino Microfiber upper with Outlast temperature regulating lining.
